Carletonville50 spreading early Christmas joy

Carletonville50 Round Table's Christmas in November project, made possible by the funds raised at the club's recent golf day, was a heartening experience alongside the Rotalia Centre for people with disabilities.

“Their goal was simple: to share the holiday spirit with this special group in our community,” says one of their members, Riaan Greyling.

The day was a blast! The Rotalia crew, along with their amazing staff, joined in the fun. Father Christmas’s grand entrance in an ambulance from Gladiator Community Protection added the extra magic. It was a fantastic surprise that set the tone for a day filled with smiles and enjoyment. Everyone got presents – that was a must.

But here’s the thing: what these people wanted most was time and love. The Tablers played games that had everyone laughing and having a blast. After a delicious lunch, everyone shared a special moment – dancing to Bernice West’s hit song “Die Here het Ons Mooi Gemaak.”

It filled everyone’s hearts with joy and wrapped up the day on the happiest note.

“This day was not just about the Rotalia crew; it was about all of us in the Carletonville50 family. A big shoutout to businesses and community folks who got involved – whether by contributing or being part of the action. Your presence made this day extra special. “It is more than just a holiday event; it is a reminder that what everyone truly wants is our time and love. A massive thank you to everyone who contributed to making this Christmas in November project a success. The memories we created will linger, showcasing how simple acts of kindness and sharing our time can impact our community,” thanked Greyling.
