Dancers excel at Nationals

Several dancers from Beat Box Dance Studio in Carletonville recently excelled at their Nationals.

The event happened in Rustenburg from 6 to 8 October.

One dancer, Chloe Cory, obtained gold in the Hip-hop section. As a result, she earned South African Federation colours and will represent the country at the world championship in New York.

Several other dancers also held the club and our town’s name high.
Tatiana Gouws competed in the Acro and Modern section and obtained silver, while Maroche Kasser competed in the Modern category and also obtained silver.

Anjell Smith, Mianell Grobler and Mia van der Merwe also showed their skill when they competed in the Hip-hop section and brought back silver medals.

Amoré Viviers competed in the Acro section and obtained a silver, while the dance studio competed as a group of zombies and obtained a bronze.
“I am extremely proud of all the girls. Hard work pays off,” says their trainer and the owner of the studio, Delarize Barnard.
