Business robbers strike Ackermans

Customers of Ackermans in the Carletonville CBD had a hair-raising experience when armed robbers struck last weekend.

As far as could be determined, several customers were in the clothing store on Emerald Street at approximately 09:30.

Suddenly, four men stormed in, and one pulled out a firearm.

One terrified customer tried to seek help on local social media groups.

“We are inside with our kids. Please help!” he pleaded.

The thugs marched the customers and staff to the back of the store and tied them up.

They then grabbed a metal cabinet before proceeding to the front of the store, where they smashed a display cabinet and stole the cell phones inside.

They also grabbed money before running away.

Luckily, no one was injured.
