Citroën C3 – a unique South African proposition

Citroën vehicles always offer strong elements of extravagance and flair, and although the new C3 boasts more customer influence and input, it still is as French as can be.

According to Leslie Ramsomaar, CEO and managing director of Stellantis South Africa, the South African launch of the all-new Citroën C3 is one of the most important events for Citroen.

“The C3 has class-leading infotainment in an exceptional value package, offering the confidence of elevated SUV motoring, the ability to customise with optional accessory packs to suit your style, and peace of mind with robust service and warranty back-up. It’s what comes with the 2023 World Urban Car,” says the marketing director for Stellantis South Africa, Brian Smith.

The new C3 is tailored to encompass highly demanding driving conditions, meaning vehicle agility was high on the list of desired features. So, the all-new C3 has been engineered to be sure-footed and responsive and to amplify driving comfort.

Suspension settings are also tuned to minimise body roll for more robust road holding and to help smooth out roughness and ruts.

Other Citroën DNA details include the generous modeling around the bodywork to ensure an assertive and robust attitude. The interior ambience boasts the use of two-tone seats.

The welcoming interior of the new C3 prioritises roominess and exceptional versatility for every family or individual need, whether a daily commute or school run in the city or nights out on the town.

There is an abundance of comfort and generous space for everyone inside the C3. Rear seat headroom is class-leading with excellent elbow and knee room.

The all-new C3 is smartphone friendly. Up front, there’s an easy-to-use 26cm touchscreen, Bluetooth for phone calls, and mirror screen technology to duplicate functions of a wirelessly connected smartphone, through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, for accessing multimedia content and apps. When using a wired connection via the USB data socket, the phone will be recharged.

The driver also gets a new 17.8cm, colour cluster screen with up to six modes for displaying vehicle information, as well as options to monitor trip computer, fuel consumption and the tyre pressure monitoring system to aid eco driving.

Power and performance

This C3 is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine delivering 61kW and 115Nm, using just 5.6 litres/100km.
