House robber grabs man
What sounds like a scene from a horror movie became a reality for a Carletonville man when he slipped and fell while trying to get away from his assailants this week.
The police say the incident happened on Zinnia Place on 15 March.
A 36-year-old resident was in the garden when an armed man approached him at approximately 23:40. He ran to the backroom where he lives to escape the attacker. Unfortunately, he slipped and fell, allowing the robber to catch up with him. An accomplice also appeared, and they robbed the man of his laptop, money and two cell phones.
Although one of the thugs fired a shot, no one was injured. The criminals then ran away.
