EFF also planning to protest here

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) also plan actions in our area for their national shutdown next week.

The party plans a national shutdown on Monday, 20 March. The protest opposes ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa and will call for his resignation while demanding that electricity is restored to the country.
The chairperson of the EFF in the West Rand, Tumi Molusi, told the Herald this week that “A shutdown means everything comes to a standstill, and there will not be any economic activity. We want to send a strong message to President Ramaphosa that he must resign,” he said, adding that the local protest will include the issue of sinkholes around Merafong.
“We have already met with the communities and asked them to join the protest.
“We have also put up posters. We plan for everything around Merafong to come to a standstill and the streets to be closed. Everyone must stay home or join the protest and show their dissatisfaction,” Molusi says. “Our target is not school teachers or workers; we just want to send a strong message.”
