Hospital and clinics still not open

Hospital and clinics still not open.

“Due to the national strike which has also affected our hospital, patients and visitors are advised to avoid the facility until the national strike is resolved. We remain open for emergency cases and EMS will continue,” Carletonville Hospital’s communication officer, Mr Matabo Letsoalo, said yesterday.

Unfortunately, the situation has still not changed today, as striking members of the National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union (Nehawu) are still blocking the entrance to the hospital and some other clinics.

“Patient safety remains our priority concern and we are working on mitigating any risk related to service delivery disruption as a result of the national strike,” says Letsoalo.

He could not give an indication over when the facilities would re-open.
