Business robbers strike in Carletonville

Robbers struck a business in the Carletonville CBD last week.

The Carletonville police say the crime happened at a betting business on Emerald Street on 31 May. An employee was closing the shop for the day when she saw her colleague walking toward her with a thug holding him at gunpoint.
“Don’t scream. Open the tills,” the robber and his accomplice demanded. The suspects, masked with balaclavas, grabbed all the money and forced the employees into a back office.
The robbers fled after tying the employees up.
Luckily, no one was injured.
