Eskom extends load shedding to Friday

Eskom announced this morning that it is now extending Stage 2 load shedding until Friday at 05:00.

The national energy provider says the extra load shedding is necessary due to further unit failures and continued delays to return units to service. Problems at the Camden and Tutuka power stations in the Mpumalanga highveld have led to the problems.

According to the Stage 2 schedule, Carletonville’s electricity will be off from 20:00 to 22:30 tonight, from 04:00 to 06:30 tomorrow and from 04:00 on Friday.

Fochville’s electricity will be off from 06:00 to 08:30 and then again from 14:00 to 16:30 tomorrow.

Khutsong will have load shedding tomorrow from 04:00 to 06:30 and then again from 12:00 to 14:30.
