According to WO Peter Masooa, the Khutsong police were called to a scene of the murder near the Khutsong waterworks on Tuesday, 11 January.
Upon their arrival, the police found the bodies of two African men. Each had two gunshot wounds.
The police have not yet identified the men and request anyone with information or who is missing a male person of the family, friend or neighbour to come forward.
The suspects are unknown and still on the run.
“We are also aware of the murders committed with firearms within the district and urge the community to report suspected persons committing these offences or in possession of illegal firearms or sought in other cases. There is a reward for information leading to the arrest of suspects and the recovery of illegal firearms. All information received will be treated as confidential,” says the district commissioner, Major-General Fred Kekana.
