According to Russel Meiring of ER24 paramedics of this service and the Provincial EMS arrived at 16:31 to find a light motor vehicle upright on the side of the road. One man was seated inside the vehicle while another man and three women were sitting on the sidewalk.
Medics assessed the patients and found that all five had sustained moderate to serious injuries.
The patients were treated and thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further care.
