SPCA offers help over the festive season

The Carletonville SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) will stay open on most days over the festive season.

The chairperson of the SPCA’s governing body, Mr Piet Groenewald, says the SPCA will only be closed over Christmas, from 25 to 27 December and from Saturday, 1 January to Monday, 3 January 2022. On 24 December and 31 December, their office will close at midday.
Although the SPCA’s office will not be manned between Christmas and New Year, members of the public who need help can call the SPCA on its emergency line at 064 752 6035.
“We are not working from the office during this week as it has been extremely quiet during this time for the past three years,” says Groenewald.
On every other day, the SPCA’s kennels in Beerster Street are open from 09:00 to 16:00 on weekdays and 08:00 to 11:00 on Saturdays.
Anyone who needs more information can call the SPCA at 018 788 6262.
