EFF members removed from SOPA

EFF provincial member Mandisa Mashego said they cannot listen to a mere repetition of the SONA and more lies.

SEBOKENG. – All eyes were on the Vaal on Monday when Gauteng Premier David Makhura addressed the Province.

The address was mostly based on the three Metros, Ekhuruleni, the City of Joburg, the City of Tshwane and two District Municipalities – Sedibeng and West Rand Districts. The heads of these government entities assembled in Vaal to hear the State of the Province Address, the successes and the weaknesses in various issues.
A top issue was service delivery and improvements to the province, not to mention the rate of unemployment.Makhura was ushered to the podium and stated his gratitude and humbleness to the all the dignitaries.
The middle of Makhura’s address was interrupted by member of EFF (Economic Freedom Fighters) after the premier had mapped out the successes of the province and what the government measures had helped out. EFF provincial member Mandisa Mashego said they cannot listen to a mere repetition of the SONA and more lies.
“The rate of unemployment is still high in the country and province. People are a still unsatisfied with government service delivery. E-tolls are still one of the major problems for our people and the ANC doesn’t want to address that and would rather pretend that people are happy about it. Tenderpreneurship benefits them, not the community.
“This is what we are going to move when the EFF takes over,” said Mashigo after she and other members were asked to move out of the proceedings following disruptions, and the business of the day continued.
