Sewage floods Carletonville yards

Residents of South Street in Carletonville are also up in arms over sewage flooding their yards.

According to residents in the street, the situation was unbearable by Tuesday.
“The sewage has been flowing into our yards and road non-stop for five days now and it’s getting worse. Is this not a serious health hazard? Please help us,” one of the residents pleaded.
Meanwhile, a maintenance hole in front of the fire station and others at the fire station flats also overflowed, prompting residents to ask for help on various community groups.
The Herald took the concerns to the municipality on Tuesday.

“The matter was brought to our attention yesterday. The water section is sourcing a Jet-Vac to open the line,” said the spokesperson.
