WO Peter Masooa says the 39-year-old woman was walking from a tavern with several other people. As she continued on her way home, her companions turned off to their respective homes and only she and an acquaintance were left. The man, pretending to be a good Samaritan, guided her home as she was under the influence of alcohol. It was only when they were near an open veld that the woman realised he was guiding her in the wrong direction. Although she wanted to turn around, he stopped her. He then instructed her to undress and lie on the ground. The man then raped her twice and forced her to have oral intercourse. He then told her to get dressed and accompanied her to her street. “Do not tell anyone about what happened,” he warned. The woman did report the incident to the police and they arrested the 23-year-old suspect.
