Round Table wants to help

Carletonville Round Table asks the community to assist in helping residents in need.

According to a Tabler, Mr Devin Nieuwenhuyzen, the club recently started its Winter Knights project, collecting clothing, blankets and food for needy residents. This year’s activities began with soup kitchens and clothing donations at Eureka Park and Oberholzer on Thursday, 4 May.
“We want to try and reach as many people in Carletonville as we can. For many of us, a woollen cap or an old blanket does not mean much but, for a person in need, it may be the only source of warmth this winter,” Nieuwenhuyzen says. For this reason, the items donated for this project do not have to be new.

Those who wish to help can drop their donations at specified businesses around Carletonville.
They can also contact Carletonville Round Table’s chairperson, Riaan Greyling, at 078 098 1328, the area chairperson and treasurer, Jason Scott at 082 875 6145 or the public relations officer, David Els at 083 400 0126.
