According to the Carletonville police, the incident happened at about 01:00 on Thursday, 18 February.
Members of the household were asleep when a group of six to seven unknown men stormed in. Two of them were armed.
They told the people in the house that they were looking for money, cell phones and televisions before ransacking the house.
During the robbery, the thugs shot a woman in her leg. They then ran from the scene.
