According to the Carletonville police, the incident took place on 4 February. A vehicle stopped at the Engen filling station just after midnight and the driver said he wanted to refuel. Suddenly, however, the driver and three men jumped out of the vehicle. They grabbed the pump attendant and tied his arms together. They stole money and cell phones before jumping into their vehicle and racing off.
