House robbery in Tugela Street

Criminals shot a resident of a house in Tugela Street in Carletonville this week.

The Carletonville police say the incident took place on 4 February. The criminals broke into the house at approximately 02:30, while the owner was asleep. The thugs ransacked the home and removed various electrical equipment. The backroom tenant, who had been awoken by the noise, peeped around the house as they got to the gate with the loot. The suspects saw him and fired a shot that struck him in the foot. They then escaped from the scene. The victim was taken to the hospital.
