According to the Gauteng Department of Health there are now 4 416 coronavirus cases in the Merafong City municipal area. Of these cases 4 174 people have recovered and 117 have died.
There were only eight new cases reported in Merafong during the past day, and 17 and 12 new cases during the previous two days.
In the meantime there are now also 11 865 cases in Mogale City (the Krugersdorp area) and 6 533 cases in Rand West City (the Randfontein and Westonaria area).
