Burglars caught red-handed

A case in Carletonville this week suggests that the homeowners must always make sure that someone watches their home.

The communication officer of the police in Carletonville, WO Peter Masooa, says a security guard was on duty when he received a call about trespassers at a client’s home at around 10:55 on 10 September.
He rushed to the property in De Wet Street in Carletonville Extension 9 and immediately saw two men who were certainly not the owners.
“What are you doing here?” he asked.
After the men told the guard they had slept in the garage, he informed them that it was illegal to occupy a private house. He then started searching them and found several suspected stolen security lights in their possession. The men were arrested on the spot.
