7 year old girl dies in accident

A 7-year-old girl was killed and three others sustained injuries ranging from moderate to severe when a car overturned and rolled on the R501 in Carletonville on Sunday afternoon, 17 September. When ER24 arrived on the scene, another medical service was already in attendance. All of the patients were out of the vehicle. Upon further assessment, it was found that the child had, unfortunately, succumbed to her injuries and was declared dead on the scene. One patient was in a serious condition and two others sustained moderate injuries. ER24 and the other medical services on the scene transported the patients to nearby hospitals for further medical care. The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet known but the SAPS were on the scene for further investigations.
