Car crashes into ditch leaving five injured

Potchefstroom: Five people were injured this morning when a light motor vehicle crashed into a drainage ditch on the R501 road to Carletonville, approximately 15km outside of Potchefstroom.

Potchefstroom: Five people were injured this morning when a light motor vehicle crashed into a drainage ditch on the R501 road to Carletonville, approximately 15km outside of Potchefstroom.
ER24 paramedics received the emergency call at 08h43 and immediately responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, paramedics found the light motor vehicle on the side of the road in the drainage ditch. The five occupants had already been removed out of the vehicle by bystanders.
Paramedics assessed the patients and found that they had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were found on the scene.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to Potchefstroom Provincial Hospital for urgent care.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
