A collision involving a bakkie and a small light motor vehicle occurred earlier this morning on the Wilgeboom road just outside Potchefstroom in the North West.
The bakkie and the other vehicle allegedly collided head-on with one another that resulted in the driver of the light motor vehicle to sustain fatal injuries. The driver of the bakkie sustained critical injuries.
ER24 paramedics treated and transported the critically injured patient to Mediclinic Potchefstroom for further treatment.
Local authorities were on scene to investigate the cause of the incident.
