House robbers attack women

Two Carletonville women had a harrowing experience this week when they were threatened at the home where they live during the day.

According to the Carletonville police, the incident happened in Topaz Street in Carletonville on Monday, 10 November.
A 22-year-old woman was sleeping in her back room when two unknown men stormed in at about 11:50. Her door was closed but not locked.
One of the imposters had a pickaxe and warned the woman to lie down. The two then took her television and cell phone before walking out again.

After making sure everything was quiet, the woman went to the room of a 32-year-old woman who also lived in a room at the back of the main house. She heard that the thugs had also robbed her of her cell phone after similarly storming into her room.
The two women checked and saw that the main house had also been broken into. The thugs had stolen the television and fled in a silver SUV.
The estimated value of the stolen goods is R25,000.
