EGA selects strong team for national champs
Over 192 from across the country are expected to take part in the tournament.
The Ekurhuleni Senior Women’s Golf has selected a team of 18 players for the National Senior Women’s Championships from May 21 to 25 at Benoni Country Club (BCC) and Ebotse Links.
Renee Matthee will lead the side as they look to capitalise on home-ground advantage.
The opening ceremony will take place on May 21 at BCC. It will follow a four-ball alliance competition at both BCC and Ebotse Links on May 22.
The national championships will be held over two days, May 23 and 24.
The matches will tee off at 07:30. The final prize-giving will be on May 24 at BCC at 15:30.
The team is Rene Matthee (captain), Barbara Collett, Beverley Kroutz, Carol Allers, Colleen Pike (injured), Debbie Jenkins, Jeanette Ross, Julia Huntington, Lenore Simpson, Leslie Nienaber, Lorraine Cross, Lynda Smit, Madie Barresi, Magda van Zyl, Martie Becker, Neela Jivan, Noreen Huges, and Sonja Louw.
