Former Protea School principal dies
Wynandus Bezuidenhout leaves behind two children and four grandchildren.
The former principal of Protea School, Wynandus Bezuidenhout, died on December 9 at the age of 68.
Bezuidenhout was born in Brakpan on June 24, 1954. He retired in 2019 after serving 28 years as the principal of Protea School.
He will forever be remembered as a great father that loved his wife Marietjie Bezuidenhout, who died in 2019, his son Stephan, daughter Marietjie and his four grandchildren.
“He will be remembered for his dedication to the school community especially LSEN schools for children with learning disabilities and specialised education, church activities and being a great-granddad to his grandchildren,” said Stephan.
His death leaves a big gap and his legacy will be remembered and honoured. His motto was always ‘live life to the fullest and make every day count’.
His funeral will be held at NG Kerk Presidentsoord on December 15 at 12:00.
