Help your child make a colourful paper plate fan

Your kids will love this fun recycled art project. The best part is that it can be made with items you may already have in your home!

Colourful paper plate fans will be a hit with the kids. Assist smaller children by performing the glueing for them. You can use a glue gun for speed if you keep it out of reach of small children.

What you need

  • A paper plate
  • Scissors
  • Lollipop/craft sticks
  • Markers
  • Paint and brushes
  • Glue

How to make it

  1.  Fold the paper plate in half.
  2. Let your child paint their plate. Allow a few minutes for each side to dry before flipping over to paint the opposite side.
  3. Colour with markers once completely dry.
  4. Glue the craft sticks together at one end at a 90-degree angle, then adhere to the back of the plate.
  5. Allow the glue to dry before letting your child play with their fan.
