• February 18

Hirsch’s Carnival will host a networking platform for business people with Brakpan Business Connect (a business networking group aimed at creating a platform for business owners and representatives) at 8.30am. • 28 Februarie

Die Just Wheels Motorklub hou ‘n nagmark by die klub wat te Kitzingerlaan 169 geleë is. Interessante stalletjies en natuurlik ‘n uitstalling van voertuie. Vir meer inligting of om ‘n stalletjie te bespreek kontak vir Hannetjie van der Mescht (082 263 7567).

• 29 Februarie

Felicitas Skool se jaarlikse kermis vind by die skool plaas. Heerlike eetgoed sal beskikbaar wees. Persone wat belangstel om skenkings aan die skool te maak kan vir vir Annemie Hall of Louise Basson kontak gedurende skoolure (011 813 4142).

• Sonneveld Akademie hou ‘n Karoofees by die skool vanaf 1nm tot 10nm. Vermaak vir oud en jonk word beplan. Daar sal onder andere ‘n kermis, stalletjies, ‘n 4×4-bergfiets roete, ‘n kunstent en boeresport wees. Kunstenaars soos Karlien Husellman en Anthony Mcgee en vele ander gaan ook optree. • 5 Maart

Besigheidseienaars word uitgenooi vir ‘n ontbyt by die Laerskool Dalview. Steven Amey, van Discovery Invest sal die gasspreker vir die oggend wees. Belangstellendes kan vir Karin Jansen van Resnburg kontak ( 083 309 2194).

• 6 Maart

Die NG Kerk, Brakpan-Noord, hou ‘n kermis vanaf 5nm. Daar sal baie kosstalletjies wees, ‘n boereorkes gaan optree en vele artikels sal te koop wees. Die publiek kan ook stalletjies bespreek. Die kerk is te Gardinerlaan 101 (oorkant die munisipale swembad geleë). Om stalletjies te bespreek kontak die kerkkantoor (011 740 2241).

• 7 Maart

Die NG Kerk Brenthurst hou ’n gemeenskapsmark op die kerkterrein te Thomasstraat 38. Interessante uitstallers sal uitstal en persone wat belangstel om self uit te stal kan ’n stalletjie bespreek. Heerlike eet- en drinkgoed sal ook te koop wees. Vir stalletjie besprekings, skakel vir ds Willie Crous by 072 536 6775 of Dawie Prinsloo by 082 441 8664.

• Saturday

The St Peter’s Anglican Church holds a book sale every second Saturday of the month from 8.30am until 2pm. The church is situated along Queen Avenue.

• Sunday

The Eastern Wargame Group meets on alternate Sundays in Mackenzie Park, Benoni. For more information contact Barry Booyse on 076 134 8488.

• Tuesday

The Brakpan Homecrafts Society meets every first Tuesday of the month at St Peter’s Anglican Church hall at 10am. New members are welcome. For more information, contact Jane Donker on 011 915 2539.

• A Narcotics Anonymous meeting for people who have a problem with drugs, or think they may have a problem with drugs, is held every Tuesday at 7.30pm at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, 74 Queen Avenue.

 

 

• Wednesday

The East and Woodworkers Association meets every third Wednesday of the month at 6pm at the Northmead Methodist Church. All interested in woodwork or woodcarving are welcome. Call Les Sales on 082 677 7097.

• The Hospice Charity Shop, situated at the corner of Prince George and Kitzinger avenues (133 Kitzinger Avenue), has a half-price sale on all clothing items every Wednesday.

• Christian Missionary Fellowship International invites you to an interdenominational prayer fellowship every Wednesday from 5.30pm to 7pm at 121 Athlone Avenue, Dalview. For more information, contact Ariel Mesa on 083 480 4737.

• A soup kitchen is held every Wednesday from 4.30pm to 6.30pm at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, 74 Queen Avenue.

• Thursday

Tutela Brakpan, geleë te Northdenelaan 106a, gaan voortaan elke tweede en laaste Donderdag van die maand ‘n klereverkoping by die kantoor hê.
