NG Kerk Brenthurst hou ’n gemeenskapsmark op die kerkterrein te Thomasstraat 38. Interessante uitstallers sal uitstal en persone wat belangstel om self uit te stal kan ’n stalletjie bespreek. Heerlike eet- en drinkgoed sal ook te koop wees. Vir stalletjie besprekings, skakel vir ds Willie Crous (072 536 6775) of Dawie Prinsloo (082 441 8664).

• February 1

A fund-raiser in aid of non-profit organisation Children’s Hope Horse Therapy and Educational Centre will be held at the corner of Koos Vorster Street and Jim Vining Avenue, Minnebron, from 10am to 3pm. Children can enjoy pony rides at the event. There will also be baked goods for sale. For more information call Jolanda Horn (084 320 4511).

Gospelsanger Dewald Gouws tree op by NG Kerk Brakpan-Oos, wat op die hoek van Lappingstraat en Boundaryweg geleë is, om 9vm. Die toegang is gratis, maar vrywillige kollekte sal welkom wees.

Hirsch’s Carnival will be holding their first entrepreneurs training workshop for 2020. Guest speakers include Margaret Hirsch, COE at Hirsch’s, and Elsa Groenewald from ActionCOACH. Hirsch’s Carnival will host a networking platform for business people with Brakpan Business Connect (a business networking group aimed at creating a platform for business owners and representatives) at 8.30am. • February 23

The Just Wheels Car Club is planning a poker run for members and friends. Classic, vintage and muscle cars, as well as bikes from the club, will visit five businesses at one-minute intervals. Any businesses interested in sponsoring or hosting a point can send an email to justwheels@webmail.co.za

• 29 Februarie

• Felicitas Skool se jaarlikse kermis vind by die skool plaas. Heerlike eetgoed sal beskikbaar wees. Persone wat belangstel om skenkings aan die skool te maak kan vir Annemie Hall of Louise Basson kontak gedurende skoolure (011 813 4142).

• Sonneveld Akademie hou ’n Karoofees by die skool vanaf 1nm tot 10nm. Vermaak vir oud en jonk word beplan. Daar sal onder andere ’n kermis, stalletjies, ’n 4×4-bergfiets roete, ’n kunstent en boeresport wees. Kunstenaars soos Karlien Husselman en Anthony Mcgee en vele ander gaan ook optree. The St Peter’s Anglican Church holds a book sale every second Saturday of the month from 8.30am until 2pm. The church is situated along Queen Avenue.

The Brakpan Homecrafts Society meets every first Tuesday of the month at St Peter’s Anglican Church hall at 10am. New members are welcome. For more information contact Jane Donker (011 915 2539).

• A Narcotics Anonymous meeting for people who have a problem with drugs, or think they may have a problem with drugs, is held every Tuesday at 7.30pm at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, 74 Queen Avenue.

• Wednesday

The East Rand Woodworkers Association meets every third Wednesday of the month at 6pm at the Northmead Methodist Church. All interested in woodwork or woodcarving are welcome. Call Les Sales (082 677 7097).

• The Hospice Charity Shop situated at the corner of Prince George and Kitzinger avenues (133 Kitzinger Avenue) has a half-price sale on all clothing items every Wednesday.

• Christian Missionary Fellowship International invites you to an interdenominational prayer fellowship every Wednesday from 5.30pm to 7pm at 121 Athlone Avenue, Dalview. For more information contact Ariel Mesa (083 480 4737).
