• May 26
The annual Just Wheels Show will be held at Muriel Brand School from 8am. Hundreds of cars will be on display, 4×4 activities, several exhibitions, flea market stalls and entertainment. For more information contact Bart Zaayman (083 390 8589).
• May 27
Baritone Andries Aldrich and soprano Khumbu Dlamini, accompanied by Marion Pillay on piano, will perform some of the most beautiful opera arias and duets from Turandot, Rusalka, The Magic Flute, Macbeth, La Wally and The Merry Widow. • May 31

• A Parkinson’s Disease Support Group meeting will be held at Rynpark 6, corner of Struben and Parker streets, Rynfield, Benoni, at 10am. Contact Heather Smith (011 849 8508).

Die NG-kerk, Brakpan-Oos, wat op die hoek van Lapping- en Boundaryweg geleë is, hou ’n feesmark vanaf 3nm tot 8nm. Heerlike eetgoed soos pannekoek, kerrie-en-rys, poedings, hamburgers en tuisgebak sal te koop wees. Die SANBS sal vanaf 3nm reg wees vir mense wat wil bloed skenk. Vlooimarkstalletjie kan by Alta Rudolph (083 396 7591) bespreek word.
• Die NG Gemeente, Brakpan-Wes, wat op die hoek van Reitz- en Stoffberglaan, Dalview geleë is, hou ’n kermis vanaf 4.30nm. Heerlike eetgoed soos kerrie-en-rys, poedings, pannekoek, koeke en jafels sal beskikbaar wees. ’n Karate vertoning sal ook plaasvind. Kontak die kerkkantoor vir meer inligting (011 744 3879).

A flea market will be held at the Cosy Corner Shellhole, situated at 2 Zeeman Street, Brenthurst. Enjoy entertainment for the children, live music and tasty food. To book a stall contact Marietjie Fraser (074 928 7383).

Die baie bekende motiveringspreker, dr Gustav Gous sal by ’n ontbyt fondsinsamelingsprojek van Tutela Brakpan optree. Die geleentheid sal in die NG-kerk, Dalpark te Boekenhout 22 om 8.30vm plaasvind. Om plek te bespreek kontak die Tutela kantoor (011 744 4020) of Hendrik Labuschagne (082 923 3077).

Auditions for The Sound of Musicals, presented by Noteworthy Events, will take place at the Nederduitsch Hervormde Kerk (corner Struben and de Mist streets) in Rynfield, Benoni. Should your audition be successful, you will be included in The Sound of Musicals cast. The show will be held at the NG-kerk, Dalpark, on September 8. Brakpan residents are invited to join the Nigel Bridge Group. Bridge is played every Monday from 9am to 1pm in the NG-kerk hall on the corner of Rudd and Harries roads, Dunnottar. New members, with or without a partner, are welcome. For information contact Sylvia Gallichan (082 756 3223).
