Die jaarlikse Pannefees word op die sportgronde van Laerskool Die Arend gehou. Verskeie top kunstenaars soos Theuns Jordaan, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Juan Boucher en Touch of Class tree deur die loop van die naweek op. Daar sal ook vermaak vir die kinders, vlooimark en kosstalletjies wees.
August 26
Hirsch’s Carnival, situated at 22 Nossob Street, will be hosting a flea market in the parking lot. The flea market will be held from 9am to 2pm. August 30
The Brakpan Women United in Prayer group will meet at the Assembly of God Fellowship, 114 Germains Street. The meeting starts at 2pm. This is an interdenominational women’s prayer group. Contact Lynne van Wyk (082 356 1331).
1 September
NG-gemeente Brakpan-Noord hou vanaf 5nm ’n mini kermis op die kerkgronde, te Gardinerlaan 101. Talle stalletjies om te besigtig. Vir meer inligting oor die kermis of stalletjies, kontak die kerkkantoor (011 740 2241).
’n Nagmark vind by die NG-kerk Brakpan-Oos, geleë op die hoek van Boundary- en Lappingweg, plaas.. Die mark begin vanaf 3nm. Talle kosstalletjies sal beskikbaar wees. September 2
The East Rand Woodworkers’ Association will hold their annual Woodworkers Fair at the Northmead Methodist Church, corner of Aerodrome Drive and Webb Street, Benoni, between 9am and 5pm. Food and woodworking crafts will be on sale. Free entrance.
Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) will host an East Rand Rally from 8am to 4.30pm at the Central Methodist Church, located at 26 Bunyan Street, Benoni. Registration begins from 8am onwards. For more information, contact the East Rand’s AA office (011 421 1748).
A Cosy Corner Market will take place from 9am to 3pm at the Cosy Corner MOTH Club. There will be different stalls and a pageant, Miss Cosy Corner Pageant, will take place during the day.

Felicitas Skool bied sy jaarlikse revue by die skool aan. Leerders en personeel nooi die publiek uit om die puik produksie te gaan geniet. Die revue vind vanaf 7nm plaas. Kaartjies kan by die skool gekoop word (011 813 4142).
15 September
Hoërskool Die Anker bied ’n boeredans in die skoolsaal aan. ’n Boereorkes sal die vermaak vir die aand wees en mense kan ook lekker smul aan ’n regte boere-ete. Vir meer inligting kontak vir Dina Abbott (011 817 1321).
7 Oktober
Die Brakkies Musiekfees vind vanaf 10vm by Laerskool Die Arend se sportgronde plaas. Kunstenaars, onder andere Franja en DZL, sal deur die loop van die dag optree. Hoërskool Die Anker bied ’n gholfdag by die Royal Oak Gholfbaan aan. Persone wat belangstel om te speel of betrokke wil raak met borgskap kan die skoolkantoor kontak (011 813 4160).
