Beware of the full moon on Friday the 13th

Not only is today Friday the 13th, but it is also a full moon.

Friday the 13th
According to folklorists, there is no written evidence for the Friday the 13th superstition before the 19th century.

Some believe it is an amalgamation of two older superstitions —  that 13 is an unlucky number and that Friday is an unlucky day.

Fear of Friday the 13th is known as friggatriskaidekaphobia.

Popular myths and superstitions:
* If you cut you hair on Friday the 13th, someone in your family will die.
