Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Emperors

St Patrick’s Day is fast approaching and the Luck of the Irish Festival at Emperors Palace will be the only place to be this weekend.

Located in a marquee next to the D’oreale Grande Hotel, the festival will be a feast of food, laughter, dance and music to keep lads, ladies and leprechauns entertained well into the night.

The festival runs from Friday, March 14, to Sunday, March 16.

No Irish festival would be complete without song and dance, and the Luck of the Irish Festival will be no exception.

On a daily basis, festival-goers will enjoy Irish folk music by the Danny Boys, all the way from Ireland, and from the much loved Durban-based Irish band, the Blarney Brothers.

Visitors can look forward to tapping their toes to old Irish favourites, catchy pub songs and popular new songs.

In addition, River Dancers will provide a visual delight over the weekend, with their infectious dance moves.

In keeping with the traditions of the Emerald Isle, authentic Irish entertainment has been lined up for the entire festival — with a South African twist in the form of comedians Tony D King, Jonathan from RadioRaps and Barry Hilton.

Other highlights of the festival include screenings of the Super Rugby games on Saturday and competitions for the best dressed.
