Soul singer to perform at Carnival

Six-time Grammy Award-winning contemporary gospel, R&B and soul singer Bebe Winans is set to record his next album in South Africa, and tickets are flying.

The legendary singer will perform in Carnival City’s Big Top Arena, on March 15, when he will be recording his live CD and DVD.

With a string of hit singles under his belt and a family full of gospel singers, this seasoned performer is sure to be spectacular in the flesh.

Winans won his first Grammy Award in 1989 – Best Male Soul Gospel Performance – for his contribution to his brother’s musical album, and has seen resounding success ever since.

His self-titled first solo album was released in 1997, featuring the international crossover hit ‘I Wanna Be the Only One’, which was followed by another six solo albums.

Hits to look out for during his live performances include ‘It All Comes Down To Love’, ‘Africa’, ‘When You Love Someone’, ‘Humpty Dumpty’, and ‘Coming Back Home’.

The experienced musician has won a total of six Grammy Awards, 10 Dove Awards, six Stellar Awards, three NAACP Awards, and one Soul Train Music Award.

In addition to recording and performing, Winans started his own record label, The Movement Group, in 2003, and currently hosts the nationally syndicated BeBe Winans Radio Show.

Jaziel Brothers will open the performance for Winans, who will perform with a full live band.
