Two rocking nights with Simple Minds

Fans of Scottish rock band Simple Minds are in for a treat when the popular group performs two shows in Carnival City’s Big Top Arena, on Friday, November 1, and Saturday, November 2.

Simple Minds’ music remains as loved and relevant today as it was in 1977, when the group was formed by frontman Jim Kerr and fellow band members Charlie Burchill, Mel Gaynor, Andy Gillespie and Ged Grimes.

Simple Minds has topped the charts for decades, with songs such as the 1985 hit Don’t You (Forget About Me), from the film, The Breakfast Club, to the album Graffiti Soul, which rose to the UK Top 10 spot in 2009.

Simple Minds will perform all their greatest hits from all their albums, such as Belfast Child and Mandela Day.

The band headlined the Nelson Mandela “An International Tribute for a Free South Africa” event at Britain’s Wembley Stadium in 1990, alongside Peter Gabriel, Tracey Chapman and Hugh Masekela, with Nelson Mandela in attendance.

The group is currently on a world tour packed with more than 80 concerts.

The show starts at 8pm.
