For those starting the year on a ‘healthier foot’, Carnival City was added as a parkrun event and destination at the end of last year.
Parkrun is a free community event that takes place every Saturday. Walkers, joggers and runners of all ages hit the road to complete 5km at their own pace.
With many parkruns already under its belt, the Carnival City leg is gaining traction. Participants meet at Sun Park for the announcements and standing start.
Increase your heart rate and step count and gain 300 Discovery points.
The parkruns start at 08:00 and are free. Register on www.parkrun.co.za
