Round two of drift champs coming up

With Lee Roy Frans kicking off the season with a first-round win, the chase is truly on.

Drifters and fans alike will be gearing up for plenty of tyre smoke at the second round of the Evolution Wheel and Tyre SA Drift Championships to be held at the Rock Raceway on March 7.

With Lee Roy Frans kicking off the season with a first-round win, the chase is truly on.

The drift judges will determine who will be the podium winners in the all-out drift battle in the gold cup eliminations. All will not be lost for the competitors who do not qualify to partake in the top tier as there is a silver cup that will ensure drifters will get a second go at impressing the judges and fans.

The drift masters will take to the gauntlet laid out by the judges as they try impressing them with their style, flair and sideways antics. Drifters from all over are expected to make their way to the circuit for the first round of the series.

Fans can make their way to the Rock Raceway where the gates will be open at 10am, with practises running until 4pm when the drift competition starts action off with qualifying runs.

Refreshments will be on sale on site.
