Bowling achievements for locals

The club has seen a number of its members perform well at various competitions.

After struggling in 2018, Brakpan Mines Bowling Club has been performing well this year.

Here are some of the results featuring Brakpan Mines’ members.

Champ of champs:

• Novice: Jaco Kruger (semi-finals)

• Open Singles: Craig Rimmington (semi-finals)

Johannesburg Open Competition:

• Men’s pairs: Craig Rimmington/Wade Ferguson

• Men’s fours: Craig Rimmington/Cecil Behrens/Wade Ferguson/Martin Head (final)

National Competitions:

• Fours: Craig Rimmington/Cecil Behrens/Wade Ferguson/Willem Giesing (final)

• Pairs: Craig Rimmington/Cecil Behrens (quarter-final)

District Selections:

• Senior Inter-District: John Drysdale and Duncan Ross

• Ekurhuleni Masters: John Drysdale, Duncan Ross, Ashley van der Muller, Craig Rimmington, Cecil Behrens, Wade Ferguson and Thinus Oelofse.

Ekurhuleni long-service award: John Drysdale and Duncan Ross.
