Brakpan resident and current Honour Wrestling Association (HWA) South African champion, ‘The Bandit’, will defend his title on March 30.
HWA will host an event on March 30 for wrestling legend Thierry Middoux to raise funds for his medical bills.
All funds raised on the night will be donated to Middoux for a much-needed hip operation.
The Bandit, who won the HWA South African championship at the Pannefees last year in his hometown of Brakpan, will defend his title in a three-way elimination match against long-time rival Hector Payne and HWA newcomer, Ultimate Nathan.

Steve Eden, the owner of HWA, said that Brakpan can be proud of their champion.
“The Bandit has worked hard and was honoured to have won the title in his home town, last year.
“The Bandit has already enjoyed successful title defences in 2019 and will now put his body and title on the line.”
The event will take place at the Dinwiddie Sports Club, at the corner of Cheam and Ingleton roads in Germiston on March 30.
Tickets will be available at the door or can be booked via the ‘HWA – Honour Wrestling Association’ Facebook page.
