The Ekurhuleni Golf Union’s (EGU) president Martin Saaiman held his annual President’s Dinner and Awards for 2018 at the Benoni Country Club on November 23.
Rising junior star Casey Jarvis of State Mines was announced as the Ekurhuleni Player of the Year following a fantastic year for the teenage golfer.

The awards on the night went to:
• Ekurhuleni Player of the Year: Casey Jarvis (State Mines Country Club)
• Ekurhuleni Women’s Player of the Year: Casandra Hall (Ebotse Links)
• Ekurhuleni Women’s Team of the Year: Women’s IPT side of Nadia van der Westhuizen, Kiera Floyd, Teagan Lubbe, Casandra Hall, Kyra van Kan, Caitlyn Macnab, Lizette Vermaak (manager)
• Ekurhuleni Women’s Golf President’s Award: Caitlyn Macnab (Serengeti Golf Club)
• Ekurhuleni Senior Series C-Division winner: Johnny Reddy (Royal Oak Country Club)
• Ekurhuleni Senior Series B-Division winner: Abrey Myburgh (Germiston Golf Club)
• Ekurhuleni Senior Series A-Division winner: David de Noroonha (Royal Oak Country Club)
• Ekurhuleni Golf Course Superintendent of the Year: Bethal Moyo (Ebotse Links)
• Ekurhuleni Golf Director of the Year: Dean Kupferman (Ebotse Links)
• Ekurhuleni Club Member of the Year: Aaron Mtshali (Daveyton Golf Club)
• Ekurhuleni Club Captain of the Year: Jan Kruger (Reading Country Club)
• Ekurhuleni Club Employee of the Year: Angelique Badenhorst and Nadia Chadwick (joint winners – ERPM Golf Club).
• Ekurhuleni Club Committee Member of the Year: Irene Streak (Kempton Park Golf Club)
• Ekurhuleni Caterer of the Year: Reinet Delport (State Mines Country Club)
• Ekurhuleni Caddie Master of the Year: Alfie Mphuthi (Benoni Country Club)
• Ekurhuleni Barman of the Year: Zamani ‘Moffatt’ Ndebele (Benoni Country Club).
