Bulldogs clean house at nationals
Brakpan Wrestling Club’s ‘Bulldogs’ had excellent performances at the Cadet, Junior and Senior National Championships over the weekend in Durnacol.
The club’s wrestlers brought back nine gold medals, one silver medal, one bronze and a fourth place from the national championships.
Nathan Pieterse finished fourth in the cadet freestyle 60kg category, Jaco Breedt claimed a silver in the cadet freestyle 71kg category, Fernando Booysen won gold in the cadet freestyle 51kg category, Arghale Muller won gold in the junior Greco-Roman 67kg category and bronze in the freestyle 65kg category, Matthew Bartlett claimed gold in both the juniors 74kg category and the seniors 79kg category, Jacques Kriel won gold in the junior Greco-Roman 97kg category, the junior freestyle 92kg category and senior freestyle 92kg category.
Martin Erasmus won gold in the senior freestyle 125kg category and in the senior Greco-Roman 97kg category.
