An abundance of tyre smoke is expected when the fifth round of the South African Drift Championships comes to the Rock Raceway on June 2.
All is not lost for the competitors who do not qualify to take part in the Gold Cup as there is also a Silver Cup Elimination Division that will ensure drifters gets a second go at impressing the judges and fans as they still get to compete in the silver cup and can still enjoy the sideways experience and walk off with some silverware in hand.

The drift masters will take to the gauntlet set out by the judges as they try to impress them with their style, flair and sideways antics without losing the drift.
Patrons can make their way to the venue when the gates open for business from 10am with drift practice for the best part of the day before the main event begins at 4pm.
