The event, which is hosted by the South African Rural Rugby Development Programme in conjunction with the South African Rugby Legends Association (Sarla) and the Valke Rugby Union, aims to raise much-needed funds. It wants to maintain and further grow the game of rugby in rural and township areas through the Vuka League, which administers and co-ordinates school rugby leagues in local townships.
