New schools category for Impi Challenge

Memorable for every entrant as it’s highly challenging.

The Impi Challenge, the original South African obstacle course racing series that combines trail running and obstacle challenges in an action packed race, has now added a schools competition category.

The outdoor test of a combination of stamina and strength as well as teamwork, will reward the top performing schools with cash for the school and prize hampers for the school team members.

A R5000 cash prize is up for grabs for the winning school (paid to the school), as well as a dried fruit and nut snack pack for every learner at that school.

A hamper prize worth R1000 for the winning team consists of products and vouchers from several sponsors.

The Impi experience will be memorable for every entrant as it’s highly challenging, but equally rewarding and gives youngsters an opportunity to discover more about their own abilities (both physical and mental) as well as those of their teammates, all within a spectator-lined course.

The Schools event is over a 5km distance consisting of 11 obstacles.

It takes place during the Sunday leg of the Impi Challenge events in the 10am to noon time slot.

The Schools category caters for ages 10 and up, with a reduced entry fee.

There is one remaining Impi Challenge event, in Gauteng, in 2016, October 15 and 16.
