Prepare for tyre-shredding galore
The third round of the Cambees Midas South African Drift Championship gets underway at the renowned Rock Raceway circuit, tomorrow (Saturday, June 11).
The masters of sideways sliding will pick up the gauntlet thrown down by the judges, as they aim to impress them with style, flair and ludicrous antics.
Drifters from throughout South Africa, and even neighbouring Mozambique, will head to the circuit for the third round of drifting excitement and entertainment.
Patrons can make their way to the circuit from 10am, when gates open, and witness a whole day’s practise session before the main event begins at 4pm.
• The next day (Sunday, June 12) gives average Joes the chance to bring along their daily drive and drag race in a safe, secure and legal environment, on The Rock Raceway’s drag strip.
There will also be a sound-off competition, hosted by Bass Triggers, for those who would like test the decibels that their car can produce.
