Mayor tees off 105th SA Open Championship

The championship tournament is now on.

Ekurhuleni mayor Clr Mondli Gungubele officially teed off the 105th edition of the SA Open Championship tournament and declared it open at Glendower Golf Club in Edenvale yesterday (Thursday).

The second oldest open championship tournament is now on and is proudly hosted by the Ekurhuleni Metro.

The golf tournament is set to continue until Sunday, with the tournament’s five-time champion and tournament host Ernie Els”Big Easy” also expected to show off his best swings and putting on the Glendower course throughout the tournament.
