Riders get muddy for charity

The Transvaal Galvanisers Mountain Bike Race was held on the morning of Sunday, September 6, in Dalpark Extension One, at the Van Dyk Dam, opposite Carnival City.

The race was held to raise funds for the Apricot Tree School for children with special needs.

Despite the overcast conditions, the weather held out for the riders, unlike last year.

According to organiser Athol Davis the race went off well.

“Although it was extremely muddy, it sure looked like the people had fun when they passed the finish,” he said.
