Radebe hat trick gets DFC the points

Brakpan-based Dalpark Football Club (DFC) stretched a recent unbeaten run to four in the Benoni South Local Football Association (BSLFA) Division One, on Saturday, May 9.

The team played PSG and bounced back from an average first half display where they created numerous one-on-one opportunities with their opponent’s goalkeeper.

They conceded the opening goal against the run of play with a drop in concentration at the back which allowed PSG in to score.

DFC managed to bag an equalising goal shortly before the referee blew his whistle for halftime.

“In the second period of the game, the boys played much better and we scored another two goals before they scored the second goal to make the score 3-2,” said coach Brian Fray.

“In the end we needed to get the three points to strengthen our position on the log, but I think we can improve a lot and play much better football than what we are currently playing.

“All I really need from the boys is to show the potential they have to play good and attractive football like I know they can do.

“I want to congratulate Zaza [Zanokhole Radebe] for scoring a hat trick, but I also do believe that he could have scored even more than those three goals.”
