Season opens with Rockmania
The ever popular Rockmania kick starts a brand new season of motorsport activities at Brakpan’s Rock Raceway circuit.
The Rock will roar into life with high octane power as racing favourites and drifters hotfoot around the 400m circuit in various disciplines on Saturday, January 17.
Drifters from all over South Africa and neighbouring country Mozambique, will slide their high-powered chariots around the oval and take on the gauntlet laid before them by the drift judges in a sideways affair filled with lots of tyre smoke and adrenalin.
There will also be plenty of action from the Outlaw V8 Sprint cars and Lexus V8s.
A host of Oval Saloon classes will also be racing on the day including the 1600 Stock Rods, Retro Rods, Pinto classes and Super Saloons.
Open wheelers will include the Ninja Kids In Racing SA, Micro Midgets, 125 Karts and Formula 2 Midgets
Straight-line racing fans will also be treated to some side by side action as the street drag racers take on the 1/8th mile strip
Gates open at 10am and racing starts at 3pm.
